Sylvester McPherson first became interested in music from traveling the United States singing at age 12. From then on the rest was history for the young Macon County native. McPherson has worked in multiple cities hosting gospel shows including Tuskegee, Opelika,and now Montgomery.
McPherson gave his life to Christ at an early age and has been often recognized for his commitment to gospel. He was awarded for Outstanding Achievement in Gospel Promotion and earned a Doctoral Degree of Humanitarianism from the Tennessee School of Religion.
Keeping with his duty to serve, McPherson also works for the City of Tuskegee's Senior Citizen Program where he truly enjoys working with the elderly to gain a wealth a knowledge, history, and wisdom. In addition, he serves as a husband and father to his three beautiful daughters.
He believes” if everybody would take six months to mind their own business and six months to leaves other folks business along, the world would truly be a better place.

OLDER AMERICANS MONTH
MAY IS OLDER AMERICANS MONTH, A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION FOR THE OLDER ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITIES. THIS YEAR'S THEME IS ''NEVER TOO OLD TO PLAY'' WHICH ENCOURAGES OLDER AMERICANS TO STAY ENGAGED, ACTIVE AND INVOLVED IN THEIR OWN LIVES AND IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE MORE ACTIVE- THE LONGER THE LIFE.
